Seaport Storage has been in business since 1983 as an RV and boat storage facility, and is still the largest in the county. A local general contractor and real estate developer purchased the neglected yard in 1998 because he saw the potential in the conveniently located site.
Close to many mid-Peninsula residential and business neighborhoods with easy road access, the Seaport Storage Center site is ideal to serve both types of customers in an area that has little available storage capacity. Owner Dave Brett says he became interested in the business after trying to find extra storage for his own company.
Admitting that the on-site business center is “somewhat of an experiment,” Brett has drawn on his 30 years of business experience to provide services that meet the needs of small or new businesses, or satellite offices. He notes that, though all these services are available elsewhere, they’re often not integrated in one location and are usually much more expensive.
By adding the brand-new storage and business centers to the upgraded RV and boat yard, Seaport Storage Center now offers not only a new concept in storage, but also a host of unique amenities to customers in the surrounding areas.
